Almost standing at the end of 2014, I can’t help but reminisce the trends that went by, some hopelessly simple, some extravagant and some even painfully bright. There were some trends that instantly won hearts, like crop tops andtribal patters, but some took their time settling in, like Jackets over sarees and blinding metallic colors. Orange

2014 is the year when Orange became the new black! No, I’m not just talking about the TV show; I’m talking about the sudden burst of orange color on the streets, make-up, jewelry, accessories and clothing. It is not flattering on everyone, which is why I feel it’s so special! It’s a little mean, I know.

Layering jewelry

Not so much a trend, but layering jewelry emerged as a strong yet feminine style statement. Not just limited to necklaces and chains, layering can be done using bracelets, scarves and even outfits.

Gild

Metal, metallic colors, sequins, glitter and iridescent patterns became so popular in 2014. So much so, that we are clinging to our reflective shades and choker necklaces with dear life! This is one trend we hope to see continued for the next few seasons to come, in accessories, make-up, home decor and clothing!
