The classic red

Red has been around for a few seasons now, going from a style statement to an everyday classic. The key to nailing this look is to match it with heavy smoky eyes and a red tinge to your cheeks.

Orange

Flaunting a color like orange is no easy task! You need to be a little heavy handed on the concealer and highlighter, while going light on the eyes. Finish off with a little smudged liner and mascara.

Cruel Coral

Just like my mom taught me, Coral is not your friend. This seemingly innocent shade drains all color from your face, making you look dull. To perfect your coral look, focus on brightening your face and your eyes equally. I recommend a tinted moisturizer, colored liner for eyes, a subtle yet defining bronzer for your cheeks and finally, a bold brow.

Baby! Pink

When I first applied this color, a guy actually came up to me and asked me if there was something wrong with my lips! Extremely embarrassing! I later realized, to sport a shade as light as this, your outfit needs to be bright. This color also looks great if you layer it with a little gloss, sparkly or otherwise, and pair it with rosy cheeks and light eye-shadow.

Fuchsia fluke

The picture is the perfect example of how you should wear fuchsia on your lips! Simply let the color take the spotlight and support it with lined eyes and mascara on your lashes.

Purple passion

Purple is not a lip color that a lot of girls opt for, let alone Indian girls. This color is actually an easy one. The key is to bring out its depth by using tinting with some bronzer, and heavily laying it on the lashes.

Oxblood

A bold and daring color, Oxblood is tricky to style. The safest way to flaunt it is to wear it like the classic red color, just without the smoky eyes. My guess is, this will definitely be the new ‘red’.

Bonus: Nude

With nude becoming women’s favorite color everywhere, it’s hard to resist it! Simply pair it with smoky eyes for night and a thick liner for the day. Add a touch of pink to your cheeks for that healthy glow.
