Things to do a month before your wedding

Fine-tune all of the details.

Meet with your photographer, make-up artist, designer, florist, decorator, caterer and whoever you think will need reminding. Finalize and freeze every little detail so that your big day is as perfect as your dreams!

Do an outfit run-through

Schedule all your fittings and bring the accessories that you plan to wear from head to toe. This will not only give you a better idea of your overall look, but allow your seamstress to make any necessary modifications.

Organize accessories and other items you’ll need to transport.

I would suggest storing all of your fashion accessories, and other items in separate bags. This does wonders for stress levels, especially when you have to find them in a hurry! Here are some examples: Dad’s cuff-links, a handkerchief for happy tears and three pairs of shoes (heels, wedges, and flats).

Schedule hair, makeup and other beauty treatments

You’ve probably already attended your hair trial and makeup trial at this point, but you’ll also need to decide who’s getting ready with you that day, whether it’s bffs, all of your cousins, your sister, or out-of-town relatives.

Confirm arrangements for out-of-town guests and prep your hotel or home.

Home renovations, hotel bookings confirmations or guest house details should be in place; or at least in the process of finalization. You can also create welcome baskets for out-of-town guests.

Carve out quality alone time and plan a fun date with your girlfriends.

 The month before the wedding is packed with appointments and obligations. Even if your planning has been smooth sailing up until this point, odds are that you could use a break. Plan a date with your friends where you truly enjoy their company without focusing too much on the “W” word.

A lot of brides say that the last month leading up to the wedding is the hardest. When things get stressful and hectic, repeat the following positive affirmations and pray that all of the hard work, planning and sacrifices will have been worth it.
